Project Description
This vital initiative aimed to educate the community about the risks of snakebites, preventive measures, and effective first-aid responses. By raising awareness, the program empowered local residents with life-saving knowledge, ensuring they are better prepared to handle snakebite emergencies in rural and semi-urban areas.
The program was facilitated by experienced trainers Rtn. Nirmal Rijal, Rtn. Bhim Udas, Rtn. Isabel Khadka, Rtn. Kalpana Parajuli, and Rtn. Poonam Das, whose expertise made the sessions both practical and impactful.
The beneficiaries included community members, health volunteers, and local residents, all of whom gained critical skills and awareness. The event’s impact lies in reducing snakebite risks, strengthening health preparedness, and fostering collaborative partnerships between Rotary clubs and humanitarian organizations.
The Rotary & Rotaract Club of Damak extend heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town, Red Cross Damak, and all the trainers for bringing this life-saving initiative to our community.
